In the occasion of the Milan Furniture Fair 2011 Trussardi has launched a new collaboration with designer Michael Young for the creation of a design project that reflects the values of the fashion house. The Trussardi MY Design project inspired by the brandʼs commitment to product design that was amply developed in the eighties and nineties through ambitious, spectacular projects and prestigious partnerships with Alitalia, Vespa, and Alfa Romeo. Michael Young has researched in the Trussardi archives to find the historic elements of inspiration for the new collection 100 Collection – Trussardi MY Design.
The history of the brand becomes a source of inspiration for new contemporary products: the 100 Collection combines the distinctive values of the fashion house and its outstanding Italian quality, with the ability to develop new materials and new technologies typical of Asia. The new collection combines 100 years of Italian leather- working expertise with the shapes and technologies of contemporary Asia. The 100 Collection provides new insight in the dialog between East and West and is the essence of high quality, style, and technological innovation.

HISTORY

1978 The Inside collection is born: a precious series of table and pocket objects in briarwood and silver.

1981 The Trussardi bicycle makes its debut: an innovative and elegant means of transportation.

1982 Trussardi Group works with Garelli to create the VIP and Noi motorbikes.

1983 Trussardi restyles the interiors of the Alitalia fleet (which wins The Best ʻ83 Award in New York); with Mini, it design a Leyland model accessorized with leather bags and refined details.

1985 Trussardi restyles the Alfa Romeo 90.

1986 Trussardi restyles the interiors of Alitaliaʼs 747 fleet; for Au- gusta, it restyles the interiors of the A109 and S61 models and the Presidentʼs helicopter; with Pigna, it creates the Trussardi Scribe stationery line.

1988 The Trussardi Telephone makes its debut and wins the Smau Prize for innovation.

1992 The I Levrieri [The Greyhounds] porcelain tableware col- lection is born.

2001 The Trussardi helmet makes its debut: elegance at the ser- vice of speed.

2003 Trussardi presents Home Nesting at the Milan Furniture Show: great artisan craftsmanship arrives in downtown Milan.

2005 Trussardi presents the OʼChair at the Milan Furniture Show.

2007 Trussardi presents an exhibit of British designer Paul Cock- sedge at the Milan Furniture Show.

2009 The first Trussardi 1911 Furniture Collection makes its debut at the Milan Furniture Show.

2011 Trussardi presents the 100 Collection by Michael Young
