Singer/songwriter, violinist, and guitarist Joan Wasser from New York –a.k.a. Joan As Police Woman –presented her new album The Classic during an exclusive showcase at  Café Trussardi last January 24.
The Classic is the fourth eagerly awaited album of Joan As Police Woman (record label: Play It Again Sam) and a new illustration of this talented musician's originality. The title track of the album includes vocal reverbs and doo-woops by colleague Joseph Arthur and famous American comic Reggie Watts as a human beat-box, which gives the primarily 1950's or 60's vibe of the song a more contemporary twist.
In the inviting atmosphere of Café Trussardi accentuated by the table lamps set around her piano, Joan As Police Woman performed a preview of her songs Holy City, Stay, New Years Day, Good Together, The Ride, and Feel the Light, besides The Classic, the title song of the new album.
