Women’s Collection Spring/Summer 2013

The roof terrace of an upscale N.Y. penthouse apartment is the setting for the Trussardi Spring/Summer 2013 show.
The greyhoundʼs journey arrives amidst the skyscrapers of the American metropolis, blending European elegance and savoir faire with a desire for fun in the city that is a symbol of the United States.
Umit Benan Sahin dresses the women of the fourth generation of the Trussardi family for a modern day picnic: the upper-class mood and cosmopolitan air merge to create a collection with a rich & rough spirit.
The greyhoundʼs journey continues.

Rebellious elegance: contrasts take center stage

This collection is all about contrasts: a traditional spirit and unconventional approach emerge in elegant details combined with almost menswear sartorial cuts.
The romantic, feminine character of the Trussardi woman for 2013 is expressed through light, flowing fabrics, silhouettes with waistlines emphasized by precious belts, and floral and geometric rints. The rebellious element of the collection emerges in the striking accessories such as the bib-like necklaces worn like tops under jackets, fine leather accessories, and vibrant colors. Contrasts continue as luxurious materials are used for simple garments: leisure time shorts are made of alligator leather, while silk blouses have colorful python leather trim. Colors range from deep cobalt blue to yellow veering towards cream and white. Masculine and feminine, tradition and modernity blend to create a new concept of luxury: rebellious, masculine/feminine elegance.

Creativity: behind the scenes

The Trussardi show is a concentration of creativity. In each show, every detail is studied carefully to obtain absolute perfection on the catwalk. Everyone is focused backstage, but the mood is relaxed. Thereʼs even room for smiles and time for admiring the clothes soon to be worn by the models. The flash bulbs go off as the models pose: the lineup is ready and the music starts. Let the show begin!
