The Tru Trussardi Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection presents an aristocratic man and woman with a rocker spirit. They love to be bold by wearing tasteful classic clothes mixed with super cool, trendy items. Cosmopolitan and dynamic, the Tru Trussardi man and woman nonchalantly move in a chic metropolitan world and their look turns them into true style icons.

A queen of metropolis, sophisticated with a cool attitude

The Tru Trussardi woman prolongs her tropical dream by wearing floral prints on T-shirts and silk blouses that abandon fresh, bright colors for shades of ruby red and cornflower blue. The time has come to accept the scepter of queen of the metropolis, wearing flowing dresses embellished with Lurex threads, pearl gray sequins, and prints as well as tiny polka-dots inspired by tie prints from the Trussardi archives.Outerwear, which includes sartorial jackets or boyfriend styles, features geometric cuts and distinctive silhouettes in double fabrics, colored mélange tweed, or ultra-soft polished wool. Leather garments underline the rocker soul of the collection, with dresses and pleated skirts and two key pieces: the color block biker jacket and the shearling jacket with contrasting lining. The collection presents striking contrasts such as delicate colors used for cool garments with attitude. Murmansky collars and trim are precious details, while two-tone crocodile jacquard motifs are used for clothes with classic, reassuring lines, which make them strikingly new and completely changes occasions for use.The color palette combines warm, inviting nuances such as ruby red and byzantine purple with cooler shades of blue. Delicate peach is paired up with icy gray and dark brown, while Persian green is combined with the dark hues of smoky gray. Gold, bronze, silver and metallic colors are combined with black.

A man with an elegant and casual image

The Tru Trussardi man never leaves anything to chance in his wardrobe. The entire collection focuses on details: classic blazers in unlined wool or wool/steel blends seem deconstructed, young and original. They’re made so that the extremely refined fabrics are even seen on the reverse side, offering an elegant yet casual image.Shirt prints are borrowed from tie motifs: colorful small checks are the choice for cotton poplin, while plaid patterns are used for flannel. T-shirts have a rocker vibe: prints come directly from the CD covers of eighties bands with their electric colors and flashy graphics.Knitwear is worn from fall to winter and comes in various weights. In the Tru Trussardi man’s wardrobe, solid color knits are combined with mélange ribbing. Norwegian jacquard motifs directly from Trussardi’s historical archives and the innovative Japan-effect knitwear that is chemically treated to appear unevenly washed out are perfect for making a fashion statement on any occasion.Outerwear includes a leather-look coated nylon parka and bomber jacket besides smooth or quilted nappa leather biker jackets and shearling jackets with a lining in a contrasting color.Blue is the predominant color of the collection and comes in nuances ranging from bora blue to brighter aviator blue and also deep ink blue. Cool opaque hues harmoniously blend with brighter fall colors like lambrusco red, tobacco, warm tan and ebony. Icy and stone grey are paired up with black, bringing to mind futuristic winter urban scenes.
