For her debut on the catwalk, Creative Director Gaia Trussardi found inspiration after watching David Lynch’s films. In this collection, she blends the fascinating idea of assertive, dangerous femininity with Trussardi’s values of pragmatism, a positive outlook on life, and a sense of travel as personal enrichment. An imaginary road trip through California’s endless desert landscapes. At the wheel, a strong-willed, mysterious woman sets out alone on this adventure to restore her inner spirit. She explores real emotions – unique and inimitable – in touch with nature.
A contemporary diva with a classic sense of elegance
Her effortless, distinctive wardrobe is sleek and fierce. The silhouette is precise, edgy, and anti-romantic. Manly jackets are worn with sleek long skirts. High-waisted skirts with tall slits are paired up with fitted cropped tops or flowing blouses. The dresses are cut like a robe, almost suggesting a sense of domesticity on the road. Python print blouses add a wild note. Shorts, bandeau tops, and cool K-way jackets also come in glossy or opaque python leather. Materials are light and rich: woven cotton, cotton-shantung, organza, silk crepe, and python. The color palette ranges from neutrals such as white, cream and desert beige to intense splashes of red and light blue. Total black is an unexpected protagonist.
Accessories and details defined by adventurous character
The Trussardi Rider Bag is travel-worthy: made in several different leathers with more or less evident grains, embellished with rivets and featuring glossy or opaque python inserts, the new Trussardi icon with its cool, laid-back look celebrates artisan workmanship, creativity and savoir-faire. An intarsia of different materials is also used in footwear: leather-soled combat boots, sandals and pumps. Details such as the light straw stylized cowboy hat and the short printed organza scarf worn around the neck and held in place by a logo-embossed ring define the adventurous character of the collection.
